When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Artist's CommentsPRINT AVAILABLE HERE. Raleigh, North Carolina 2004 Commentary: I took this at sunset coming home from work in Raleigh. When I saw how the sky was, I sped my car, darting in and out of heavy downtown traffic to get to the top story of one of our large parking garages. I didn't have a tripod, was still using my little 4 megapixel Canon G2 with a little wide-angle lens attachment. I took about 30 pictures, including this one - when I saw the exhaust stream of the airplane, I was really excited at the potential. When I downloaded the photos, I was really disappointed because NONE of the photographs were very focused and I knew it was a rare moment to capture. I decided to put it in my gallery anyway and was puzzled at the positive response, despite the lack of focus. At the time I initially shot this in 2004, it became one of my most fav'd photographs on DeviantART. The response off the internet was even greater, and to me, just as puzzling. Everyone who touched the actual print loved it, and I sold quite a few of them. This became the precise point that I decided to take my potential in photography seriously and more actively pursue it than taking a picture once in awhile. From then on, I never traveled with my camera without a tripod. ------ Check out more photos in my Land + Sky Gallery! Commentsha, I love the little disclaimer at the top. And a nice little story too
The colors on this are great. Definitally a great shot, even if it isn't as clear as one would wish it to be, this is abeautiful photograph. -- "Everything always works out in musicals.
